For standard wind quintet of Flute, Oboe, Bb Clarinet, Horn, and Bassoon - although in my recital, the horn part was performed by trombone! The title was inspired by the story the music seems to naturally tell - adventurers marching on their way and entering a magical wood.

This was influenced a bit by 70s progressive rock. It starts with a lively march, goes into a music box middle section with decorative trills, and then into a section combining the music box with a march in 5/4 followed by 6/4.

There's some challenges with trills and the time signatures, but overall meant to be a fun, accessible work.
