Matthew H Schwarz has been harping around the country since 2004. His enchanting instrumental music creates a magical atmosphere of olden times - Celtic and Scandinavian, medieval and Renaissance. He also sings Renaissance love songs, old English ballads, Irish pub favorites, rousing songs of the sea,and ancient Nordic songs.
At Renaissance Faires, Matthew usually performs up to 3 hours total of music a day, on stage or in the lanes. He's happy to provide music for food and entrance lines and give a musical farewell to patrons leaving at the end of the day.
Matthew also performs in other environments - usually providing lovely background music, but sometimes less typical performances such as adding eerie harp to a Halloween event using an effects board.
Starting in 2025, Matthew has been performing in a harp/vocal duo called "Twa Corbies" with Michele Mountain.
