This is an orchestral readthrough - it was played by a live orchestra that never heard nor saw the music before, and recorded after a few runs.

The music started out as a heavy metal song of mine called "The Devourer." The song was inspired by a short time in my younger days when I did some forest-fire fighting. The fire was personified as "the Devourer" - a sort of pagan god or spirit as much as a force of nature.
